There are two versions of Opus!Comm in this ARC file. The primary one is
OPUSCOMM.COM. This version can support both COM1 and COM2 simultaneously.
This version can be used by communications programs to communicate with
both ports at the same time, but unfortunately, no such software yet exists.
The second version is OPUSCOM1.COM. This version can only address EITHER
COM1 or COM2 at any one time. This version when installed takes up about
6K less than OPUSCOMM.COM (the size of the inbound and outbound buffers for
the second communications port). OPUSCOM1.COM should be used on systems
that run DoubleDOS so that the extra 6K can be saved in each partition.
NOTE 1: Opus!Comm in one flavor or another MUST be run BEFORE you start Opus!
If Opus!Comm is not resident before Opus is started, then Opus will terminate
immediately.
NOTE 2: Opus!Comm must be loaded after DoubleDOS. If it is to be used in 2
partitions, then it must be loaded in each partition. Other multi-tasking
systems may allow Opus!Comm to be loaded prior to the multi-tasker, but that
has not been tested. In that situation OPUSCOMM.COM should be used since
both ports can be supported simultaneously.
